Martial Arts Champions and Celebrities Come to Charlotte 

(Charlotte, NC) Charlotte residents will have the chance to meet and learn from top ranked martial arts world champions and movie stars at the America’s Living Legends Martial Arts Expo & Celebrity Roast October 17 and 18 at the University Hilton. Special guests will include film star and stunt coordinator Bob Wall, martial arts champion Howard Jackson, sport karate pioneer Jerry Piddington, film star and champion Don “The Dragon” Wilson, and many others.  

Highlights of the weekend will include a Living Legends Seminar, a Kids Self-defense and Safety Seminar, a Bob Wall Seminar about Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee, a Don “The Dragon” Wilson Seminar on “Breaking Into the Martial Arts Film Industry,” a Best of the Best Forms Competition and a Celebrity Roast and Show honoring Hanshi Jerry C. Piddington, one of the pioneer fighters of sport karate.

Some of the top fighters and form champions of sport karate will be honored at the Celebrity Roast on Saturday evening. “We are excited to bring this level of martial arts expertise to the Charlotte area. The Southeast is a haven for great sport karate competitors and pioneers who promoted this sport to a new level in the last thirty to forty years,” says promoter Ricky Smith, owner of SideKick Karate in China Grove.
